Jermaine Morton's protective case laptop enclosure with an embedded wireless power transfer (WPT) The invention provides a protective laptop case with an embedded electret-based wireless power transmission system. The system includes a charged electret layer, capacitive plates, a power circuit, and a wireless transmission element. The case passively harvests energy via displacement current and transmits it wirelessly to a receiver embedded within the laptop, providing an auxiliary power source without external wiring or magnetic inductive coupling.
ELECTRECHARGE™ — A self-contained
power-generating laptop case.

- Electret film generates displacement current
through ambient movement or touch
- Embedded solid-state rectifier circuit converts
current to regulated DC
- Integrated wireless capacitive transmitter
sends energy to the laptop's receiver
- Can also store small power in a buffer
supercapacitor inside the case
